The Rocky & Bullwinkle show is arguably Jay Ward's most well-known cartoon, and it's pretty easy to see why. The show was initally created as politcal satire that mocked several aspects of the Cold War. The animation was also extremely cheap (until the 2nd season at least) due to it being outsourced to Val-Mar Productions (later renamed to Gamma Productions), which was located in Mexico; it was initially supposed to be outsourced to a Japanese animation studio - unfortunately, the proposed studio was nonexistent.
